Are you ready to take on the world? Cambridge Venture Camp is coming again in spring 2020. Together with the selected universities Laurea University of Applied Sciences, Arcada University of Applied Sciences and South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk), Cambridge Venture Camp brings entrepreneurship closer to students and provides a unique opportunity to participate in this intensive course in Helsinki, Finland and Cambridge, UK.
Cambridge Venture Camp was organized in November 2007 for the first time and has since then grown into a full accelerator camp for ambitious students developing their own business ideas. The twelfth Cambridge Venture Camp will be taking place in spring 2020.
Spend two weeks developing your business idea with experienced mentors, inspiring workshops and exciting visits in Helsinki’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and in Cambridge.
The final content of the program will be published soon, but for reference, here are some examples of what Cambridge Venture Camp 2019 workshops and seminars concerned; Introduction to startups, self-development, competitor analysis, Lean canvas, risk management, pitching and presentation skills, financing, startup valuation, legals, sales, Minimum Viable Product, prototyping, and more.

What is Cambridge Venture Camp?
Cambridge Venture Camp is an annually in the spring organised two-week long entrepreneurship camp for students working on their entreprenurial passion and business idea with top-level mentors and workshops.
You do not need to have an established business and your business idea can still be in its early stages; participants will be selected according to the sustainability and potential of their idea, with consideration how much their idea will benefit from the program.
What are the dates of the program?
Application period January 13th – February 9th
Interviews between February 10th and 14th (specific dates TBA)
Selections announced latest on February 16th
Pre-event Thursday February 27th
Helsinki Week March 9th to 13th
Cambridge Week March 29th to April 3rd
Demo Day at the end of April (TBA)
What are the costs of this camp?
Traveling and accommodation (inc. breakfast) in Cambridge week are covered by the program as well as some lunches during Finland week. Transportation to the Helsinki Region is not covered, nor possible visa costs.
Do I need a visa?
Currently, an EU-citizen won’t need a visa to enter the UK. If you are a non-EU citizen and get selected, you should check here if you need a visa; www.gov.uk/apply-uk-visa. Visa costs are not covered by the program.
Who can participate?
All Bachelor’s and Master’s degree and exchange students from the following schools can apply through the online application;
1. Laurea University of Applied Sciences
2. South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (Xamk)
In addition, students from Arcada University of Applied Sciences will be participating in the program once they’ve been selected through the school’s internal selection process.
Students can apply either individually or in teams.
Can we apply as a team?
Yes! Please make sure to fill in all the team members information to the application. And please note that if the team is bigger than 2 persons, only 2 persons/team can participate in the Cambridge week.
Will I get study credits from this course?
Yes, all attendees will receive 5 credits from Cambridge Venture Camp.
Why should I apply?
